Erin Lindsey, piano

Erin Lindsey is a teaching artist who is devoted to her students as well as to performing. She has given recitals in Tokyo, New York, Montreal, Taipei, Chiayi, Kaohsiung, Kharkov, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Boston. Ms. Lindsey has a large repertoire, including over twenty concertos as well as the complete Chopin Etudes, Rachmaninoff Preludes, Bach Well-Tempered Clavier Book I, and the Liszt Transcendental Etudes. Her past studies included extensive work with Ian Hobson as well as coaching with the legendary Ivo Pogorelich.

In addition to concertizing, Ms. Lindsey is very committed to her teaching. Her piano students have won top prizes at international competitions, including the Prague International Young Pianists Competition and the Taipei Chopin Competition. She has served on the jury for numerous competitions, both in the United States and throughout Asia. She taught at National Sun Yat-Sen University, and was the Lead Teacher of the Taipei Teacher’s Association for two years as well as Guest Artist Teacher for the Yunlin Music School. She has given many masterclasses, including a series in Shanghai, and was Chair of the Community Music Center of Boston for seven years as well as Artist in Residence there.

Ms. Lindsey currently is Chair of the Piano Department at The Rivers School Conservatory.
